I guess it goes WAY WAY back because I have always had issues with my cycle. After I started I soon put on weight (this in 5th grade) but I soon grew taller and much wasn't thought about it. I also have Always had BAD cramps but didn't have my cycle every month so I just dealt with it. SO the years go by and I am in HS and my BFF'S aunt and I are talking about it and she shared her IF story with me and tells me she works for a Wonderful OBGYN and I should come see him (BTW that Dr is Now my OBGYN!) or at least have my mom take me to our family Dr. Well being 15 and NOT anywhere Near needing an OBGYN (wasn't active either) so I just go see my family Dr and was put on BC.
I few years later Jason and I meet fall in love get married then a few years in we decide bye bye BC!! We Just KNEW we would have a baby in No time!! No such luck! :( About 2 1/2 years in I wake up one day after a BAD BAD night of cramps with blood Everywhere! All over me our bed ect. I called my mom and she took me to my Then OBGYN (we thought I had a MC and just didn't know I was PG I NOW DO believe that was the case) he sees me and says there was No way I was or ever would be Pregnant because I was to fat! UGH!! Yes I was (am) over weight but at that point had lost 40ish pounds and knew Tons of women bigger than me who had babies with No issues! So I not so nicely tell him what I thought of him and have never been back!
After that I went back on BC from March to Sept came off and had a normal cycle in Oct and got a BFP in Nov!!! But sadly had a MC at 5-6 weeks but on the bright side I started seeing my Now OBGYN (the one I should have seen in HS!!) and with in 5 mins of some history he ask if I knew I had PCOS Ugh NO!! I was just told I was Fat! He laughed! And said well you might be a little heavy but not enough to stop you from getting pregnant! He also said we could start trying after one cycle and put me on clomid so from Jan 06 to Aug 06 I was on that and had the dye test done (No blockage) and Jason was tested (100% fine) after that in Sept Dr C sent me to see an RE Dr B and after one month on femara and one IUI BFP with Madison!! (Little did we know that was NOT normal one IUI!)
Life goes on and in May 09 before Madison was 2 in July we decide its time!! I go and see our RE and because I haven't been on BC so I haven't had a cycle from Jan to May I had to "have one" Yuck right I HATE those! But in June I started Femara and do out first IUI in June 09 and we just knew it would work .... well NO!! We did June, July, Aug, Sept and in Oct add Injection still BFN!! After 5 IUI's Jason and I asked to take a Month "off" the IUI's but still took just the Femara and much to our surprise BFP!! And it was TWINS!! ~ with Femara the chance of multiples is low but our twins will be the 5th set of twins in my family! All boy girl too! So who knows!
I should add I also have to take Metformin during treatment and for the first 12 weeks and also prometrium during the firsts 12 weeks to help me stay pregnant !
